The Oscars is the biggest night in Hollywood, where the great and good of the film industry gather for a night of celebration and glamour. Unsurprisingly, each year for the occasion, nominees and guests hit up their Little Black Book of world-renowned makeup artists, facialists, nail artists and hair stylists to assemble an A-team glam squad, which is why you know the red carpet beauty looks are going to be next-level.
Taking place at the Dolby Theatre in the heart of Hollywood, the 96th Academy Awards didn’t disappoint in serving up all the inspo.
Bobs headlined. Zendaya gave us a 2024 take on Hollywood waves with the glossiest old-school rolled bob. Florence Pugh leaned into grunge glam, wearing her platinum blonde hair in a mussy, textured bob with a matte brown-pink lip and a lightly smoky eye. America Ferrera wore her dinky jaw-length cropped bob lightly waved and Danielle Brooks opted for a glam, voluminous, side-flipped bob.
Billie Eilish gave us the preppiest Gossip Girl blow dry, Margot Robbie opted for messy cool-girl waves, Da’Vine Joy Randolph gave us honey-coloured Hollywood waves and Emily Blunt incorporated a dinky plait detail into her bun. Meanwhile, Jennifer Laurence served up a chunky cat-eye liner.
The overall vibe? Classics executed with a perfect modern spin.
