Promising review: “This digital thermometer is comparable to models costing a lot more. I had a Thermapen that was given to me as a gift, and this Lavatools matches it in performance and even exceeds it in some features. It has just about everything: easy to ready, super easy to operate, it’s even dishwasher-safe. It’s also magnetic, so I keep mine stuck to the dishwasher (yeah, sounds weird, but that’s the most convenient location for me, near the range/oven, my toaster oven, the bread machine, and the microwave). It turns itself on when you open out the probe and turns itself off when you return it to the original position. And if you forget and leave it out, it will shut off automatically after 60 minutes (I just tested this — it works). If that happens, you’ll need to return the probe to the original position and then open it out again to use it. Not a problem. The display is large, too — very easy to read, although not backlit.” —Chris L.
